Online Portfolio Site UX

Online Portfolio Site UX

The Online Portfolio Site UX project was created over a one to two-month period
to explore the possibilities of a portfolio site combining art, animation and design work

Research into the initial potential intent and scope of the project started with
a “best at” statement and mind map of the site itself

An Affinity diagram was created to focus in on specific challenges related to the site

A persona matrix was created to determine potential visitors, places, activities and motivations

Several personas were created to focus in on specific types of visitors and situations

A wire frame site map was sketched out and finalized to help define necessary components and navigation

Rapid site screen prototypes were created for desktop, tablet and mobile sites

An interactive journey prototype was created, in this case for mobile devices

Finally, based on all of the previous UX research and iterative prototypes,
a test site was built locally using an existing WordPress theme

An HTML Email Newsletter was also created, patterned after the site’s design

The site itself was never deployed, but the UX Research and UI Design served as both the
starting point and inspiration for this version of the E-Gallery
